Technology in an E-Filter
The PlasmaMade® E-Filter is the result of years of testing and development. The filter uses advanced and patented technologies to not only remove odors from the air with plasma, but also fine dust and other contaminants with ESD technology on the outside of the filter.
At the air inlet the filter is activated by two sensors, which send signals to the computer to adjust the programming to ensure the E-filter is working efficiently and effectively. Then software programming ensures that the correct amount of plasma is generated and the high-voltage electrostatic discharge (ESD) system is activated. The E-Filter's ESD system is charged with voltages of up to 4 KV, this electrically charges the intermediate fiberglass filter and will ensure that the E-Filter captures even the smallest sizes of particulate matter. Additionally, the moment the filter becomes saturated with contaminants, the ESD system's electrical grid is discharged through the fiberglass filter (fly lamp principle) and coagulates all the dirty particles into one harmless carbon particle (the size of a grain of sand). This harmless carbon particle is expelled with the air flow.
After this process, no substances remain in the filter, so the efficiency does not decrease and the filter has a lifespan of up to 15 years.
